What’s In a Name? Dead Horse Point State Park

So, what’s in a name? I’ll get to that shortly, but Dead Horse Point State Park, only 13 miles from Canyonlands National Park Island in the Sky, is an often-overlooked gem. Come on along to see the wonder of this very small state park–canyons, cliffs, and the Colorado River.

Sandhill Cranes Year 2: Migration Marvels

It is that time of year! The majestic Sandhill Cranes visit Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuge in San Luis Valley, Colorado–and so do we. Thousands of cranes rest at the Refuge each spring in preparation for their flight to nesting grounds in northern US and Canada. What a sight!
