Wilds of Seuss Landing!

In the land of Orlando stands the isle of Seuss. A magical kingdom where Sneetches, Things, and a Cat in a Hat walk with you. A wilderness walk through your imagination that reminds us all that “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.”

Look up and look down, look all around. It’s amazing the sights, smells, and fun to be found! Each step finds a new reason to smile. Remember, “You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut.” 

Let’s check out McElligot’s Pool where Marco has been fishing for three hours without getting a bite. But, then again, “you never can tell what goes on down below! This pool might be bigger than you or I know!”

We have to look carefully in this area now, we might see a red fish, blue fish, or a cow? It’s a cat we are looking for, one with a hat, no matter what else we see it’s the cat, and that’s that.

There, up ahead, so exciting to see. The cat with his hat and two things, glory be! The kids having fun with Thing 1 and Thing 2, and Dad taking pictures because that’s what Daddies do.

Horton on top keeps an eye down below. Round and round on the creatures, the Caro-Seuss-el goes. So what’s your choice for this ride?

Truffulo trees, just what everyone needs. The Lorax told us, “I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues.” Words to live by, and remember: “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It is not!”

Well, we didn’t find any turtles on our walk, but we do have deer pals. I think this goes for most creatures we know: “And the turtles, of course . . . all the turtles are free, as turtles, and maybe, all creatures should be.”

Let’s take the stairs to the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride, and see what’s to see as we’re riding up high.

“You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact, and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.”

It’s the Sneetches! “The day they decided that Sneetches are Sneetches.
And no kind of Sneetch is the best on the beaches.”

Here is something I rarely do see, a Hoodwink is winking and looking at me!

Gerald McGrew had a better idea for a zoo, and in his poem, If I Ran the Zoo, Dr. Seuss first coined the term nerd.  “And then, just to show them, I’ll sail to Ka-Troo and bring back an IT-KUTCH, a PREEP, and a PROO, a NERKLE, a NERD, and a SEERSUCKER, too.”

Our time is about over, we near the end of the town. The mayor waves bye and escorts us on down. It has been such fun traveling with you, you, and you . . .
