The best place to start when visiting a National Park, Monument, etc. is the Visitor Center. Lots of wonderful history, unique features explained, telling of critters they protect and encourage us to, and personalized information to help us enjoy our stay. Who could ask for more? There are so many amazing geologic wonders to see in Arches National Park. Many need just a short walk, many you see from the car. Now this is a spectacular road tour!
The forecast was for a few inches of snow Sunday night, but when I peeked outside about 8pm, huge snowflakes were falling and everything was covered. What would the morning bring?
Heavy, wet snow clinging to everything, not a breath of wind, 20 degree temperatures. This means a trip to Garden of the Gods. A beautiful winter wonderland–Colorado Springs style!
