On the eastern edge of the Waterpocket Fold in Utah we find Goblin Valley State Park. Wait–what fold, what valley? Well, come on along and see!
We’ve hiked in Red Rock Canyon before, but today we will explore a trail I’ve never done, Quarry Pass Trail, a west to east walk across the park. First, though, we have to get to the trail so let’s go!
There are so many amazing geologic wonders to see in Arches National Park. Many need just a short walk, many you see from the car. Now this is a spectacular road tour!
Let’s take a walk to the largest arch not only in Arches National Park, but North American. It has a light opening of 306 feet, 4th largest in the world. Found in the Devils Garden area of the park, it is a 1.9 mile round trip hike that promises to be stunning. It’s a very windy day so hold onto your hat, grab your water, and let’s go!
